We bring awareness to young people about sustainability through the relationship between fashion and the environment.
Rebel Craft
10+ years, 2 hours
Empowering the next generation of eco-activists through craft.
This workshop uses Craftivism to express personal concerns and deliver messages about global issues surrounding sustainability. A collaborative artefact will be created, as well as individual creative statements.
Natural Assembly
12+ years, 2.5 hours (dependant on location)
Stepping into nature to collect resources to inspire and create alternative ways to incorporate the environment into design. Students will visit surrounding nature to harvest natural materials which will be used creatively to create a fashion artefact.
Around the Mend
8+ years, 2 hours
Learning basics mending skills and encouraging imaginative ways to mend existing garments. Students can bring garments from home or use the provided second-hand garments.
Restyle
8+ years, 2 hours
Taking a closer look at the impact of social media and overconsumption, and introducing alternatives ways of consuming (ie. Swapping, Rental and Upcycling). We will explore the creativity of styling by producing different outfits with the same set off garments. Students will work in teams with garments brought from their wardrobes and/or garments we provide, to create a instagram style ‘feed’.
*Hours are dependant on the number of students attending a workshop.
*We suggest picking REBEL CRAFT as an introductory workshop, plus an additional creative workshop to be follow on over the course of 2 weeks.
